Point Blank Tequila, the 100% additive‑free tequila rapidly gaining recognition from tequila aficionados, has earned top honors at the 2026 Agavos Awards International Spirits Competition — a global contest that honors distillers and marketers whose work is considered “exceptional” within the industry.
Judges awarded Point Blank Blanco the prestigious Double Gold medal, with Reposado and Añejo each receiving Gold medals in their respective categories. In addition to the taste competition, Point Blank took home Gold in the bottle design category for its creative, unusual appearance and Gold in the marketing category for its overall branding strategy.
In the tasting competition, entries were blind-tested and graded on a series of criteria, including appearance, aroma, taste, and finish — with Double Gold reserved for outstanding spirits that earn top marks from all judges.

Point Blank Tequila Blanco earned a 92‑point score out of 100 at the Agavos, praised for being “clean and rock‑like on the nose, earthy.”
The judges’ tasting notes went on to describe it as “astringent texture with an agave presence in sweetness initially, then a slight heavy alcohol presence, emphasis on pepper spice, with a finish to fit, a light salt mineral, overall complex and pleasant.”
Point Blank Reposado was touted by the judges for its rich agave character, layered complexity, and exceptionally smooth, well-structured finish. Point Blank Anejo was praised for its beautifully balanced profile, featuring notes of sweet cooked agave, honey, caramel, pear, and dulce de leche, finished with exceptional smoothness and refined complexity.
The Agavos Awards International Spirits Competition, co-founded by Grover and Scarlet Sanschagrin, honors distillers and marketers whose work is considered “truly exceptional” and deserving of industry recognition, with separate Taste and Marketing + Design competitions.
