They might turn heads in a photoshoot — but make no mistake, these are not just pretty faces. The striking individuals featured in many of Point Blank Tequila’s photographs are the real-deal operators behind the scenes — leaders at Destiladora Agave Azul, the award-winning, family-owned distillery behind our juice.
They are sales strategists, marketing coordinators, logistics experts, and global connectors. Together, they are the powerhouse driving one of Mexico’s most respected tequila production companies.
From the sun-drenched agave fields of San Juanito de Escobedo to high-level strategy sessions in their offices in Guadalajara, these four young leaders are on the front lines of tequila production, commerce, and marketing. Their work doesn’t just drive operations — it upholds a legacy grounded in Mexican heritage, authenticity, and world-class craftsmanship.
Each of them came into their roles naturally: through family lineage, fieldwork, formal training, and love for the tequila culture.
So, when you see them in a Point Blank image, know this: you’re not just looking at tequila models. You’re looking at the young tequila industry leaders of Mexico’s most iconic spirit. Let’s meet the team.

The Sales Strategist: Aldo Garcia
Aldo Garcia is the Director of Sales at Destiladora Agave Azul and the son of Don Jose Garcia, the founder of the tequila company that produces Point Blank. His role is multifaceted, with his time split between the Guadalajara office, the agave fields and distillery in San Juanito de Escobedo, and in the marketplace, where he connects with clients, retail partners, and distributors.
Aldo didn’t simply join the family business — he grew up in it.
“My dad is from San Juanito de Escobedo, so we’d spend weekends there when I was young,” he recalls. “The agave fields were like my playground.”
Before he was formally on the payroll, Aldo was absorbing knowledge from every corner of the operation — helping in the agave fields, walking the bottling lines, and learning how tequila was crafted from the ground up.
He formally joined the business full-time in 2017, but his preparation had started long before. With a degree in international business, multiple industry certifications, and hands-on experience in every department, Aldo earned his way into leadership through hard work and a deep respect for the family legacy.
He said his older sister taught him a lot about sales and export operations. He learned the production side by working alongside his father in the fields, distillery, and composting facility.
“I’ve had many teachers,” he said.
He admits it’s sometimes difficult to separate business from family.
“Sometimes the meetings for business become family reunions — or family reunions begin with business meetings,” he says with a smile.
“But in the end, everything depends on sales.”
When he’s at the Guadalajara office, Aldo focuses on strategic planning — analyzing market trends, communicating with clients, and forecasting growth. But his favorite days are at the distillery.
“That’s the fun part,” he says.
There, he’s fully immersed in the operational side, working hands-on with field teams, tequila production, and bottling.
He thrives on being involved in every department, ensuring nothing is missed and everything runs smoothly.
It’s a full-circle moment because he’s not just selling tequila — he’s selling a product he lives and breathes, and has since he was a child. His presence on the front lines and within the heart of production ensures that Point Blank Tequila maintains a seamless flow from soil to shelf.

The Storyteller: Eva Mireles
Eva Mireles is the Marketing Manager at Destiladora Agave Azul, the tequila production facility behind Point Blank Tequila.
While her striking presence in our photoshoots may suggest a background in fashion — and she does have one — her true passion lies in crafting narratives that connect people to the tequila culture.
“I’ve always been passionate about storytelling, especially when it comes to Mexican products with history and heart,” Eva says. “This isn’t just about selling tequila, it’s about sharing a piece of culture, a piece of art.”
Originally from Guadalajara, Eva grew up immersed in Mexico’s vibrant culture but only discovered San Juanito de Escobedo when she joined the team.
“It’s a little hidden gem,” she says. “The views, the people, the energy, everything is really, really amazing here. It truly is a magical place.”
Eva holds a degree in marketing and brings years of experience in brand strategy. She works alongside a lean team, leading everything from campaign development to social media content for photo and video production, and coordinates real-world experiences that showcase Destiladora Agave Azul’s commitment to authenticity, sustainability, and tradition. Every move Eva makes is designed to elevate the tequila company while staying true to its soul.
Her days are split between the Guadalajara office and the agave fields, distillery, and composting facility in San Juanito, where she is committed to ensuring every story reflects the integrity of their tequila — and the people behind it.
“I love connecting the product to the origins, the people, and the land,” she says.
A former professional model and competitive beach volleyball player who represented the state of Jalisco, Eva’s no stranger to discipline, pressure, and performance. But it’s her sincerity and warmth that make her an integral part of the company’s mission.
“I love working with people who care about what they do and being able to translate that into something the world can experience,” she says. “Every bottle reflects our dedication, experience, and love for the craft. It’s not mass production. It’s personal. And you can feel that when you taste our tequila.”
Whether she’s behind the scenes or in front of the camera, Eva is redefining what modern tequila marketing looks like — elevated, elegant, and rooted in authenticity.

The Global Connector: Adrian Mercado Martinez
Adrian Mercado Martinez is the Director of International Sales — a corporate title that reflects his role to bring tequila to the world. But his credentials run deeper.
Born and raised in San Juanito de Escobedo, he’s closely connected to the land, its people, and the process of producing authentic tequila.
“I used to work in the agave fields with my parents,” Adrian says.
With a degree in International Business from the University of Guadalajara, Adrian joined the team fresh out of university — but not as an executive. He began in the warehouse, loading pallets and counting cases for export. Within months, his natural leadership, initiative, and easy rapport with clients earned him a fast-track into international sales.
Today, he oversees global partnerships, builds distribution channels, and plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the distillery’s tequilas reach connoisseurs worldwide.
“I used to dream of traveling around the world on a motorcycle,” Adrian says with a smile. “I never expected to find my adventure here at home.”
Adrian prefers being hands-on at the distillery in San Juanito de Escobedo over sitting in an office.
“I’m here almost every day — it’s different all the time,” he says.
Each day begins early, with “a big beautiful sunrise” over the volcanic valley and what locals call the “Red Lake.” From there, Adrian’s work can shift between paperwork and port clearances to tequila tastings with the master distiller, Zandra Gomez Santiago, or field tours with global partners.
Adrian said he’s proud of the tequila they produce because it’s made the right way. From hand-grown agave harvested at peak maturity to traditional cooking methods and sustainable practices, every step is intentional — and nothing is rushed or artificial.
“I love the whole process,” Adrian says. “Being here at the distillery gives me the opportunity to be part of everything alongside the production team. And trust me, every step is really important to the final process. If you change one thing, the outcome is completely different.”
More than a global sales strategist, Adrian is a bridge — between cultures, between the land and the market, between a rural distillery and global luxury tequilas. His presence ensures that every bottle of tequila is not just sold, but understood.

The Logistics Expert: Roberto Ruiz
Roberto Ruiz is the head of International Commerce and Logistics, overseeing a range of responsibilities that include supply chain logistics and international strategy, making him the driving force behind a growing global footprint.
Based in Guadalajara, Roberto begins his day with coffee, currency rates, and client check-ins before diving into export documentation, customs coordination, and back-to-back strategy meetings. He’s not just moving tequila — he’s opening new markets and building a blueprint for international success.
Before joining Destiladora Agave Azul, Roberto worked in international freight forwarding, managing logistics for some of Mexico’s largest companies. But corporate rigidity didn’t suit his spirit.
He wanted something with more connection, a career where he could meet people and learn about other cultures. That desire led him to Destiladora Agave Azul and into a role that blends his logistical expertise with his passion for people.
“It’s not just about the business, it’s about the relationships,” he says. “I love meeting new people, learning about other cultures, and how they live in other countries.”
Despite spending most of his time in Guadalajara, Roberto visits the distillery regularly, and each visit reconnects him to the land, the people, and the magic of San Juanito de Escobedo.
His favorite part of the process?
“Cooking the agave — I love the smell of the cooking process,” he says. “And watching the agave harvest at sunrise. It’s amazing.”
He credits much of his knowledge of tequila to master distiller Zandra Gomez Santiago. They have spent a lot of time traveling together and teaching others about the art of tequila production.
“A lot of what I know about tequila and the industry, I learned from Zandra,” he says. “I’m very proud of her.”
Roberto is also a passionate advocate for their environmental stewardship and sustainability. The team at Destiladora Agave Azul transforms production waste into nutrient-rich compost, which is then used to replenish the agave fields — creating a full-circle system rooted in respect for the land.
“Very few distilleries in the entire industry do this,” he explains. “What we take from the environment, we return.”
For Roberto, his job is more than operations — it’s about honoring the culture, the people behind the product, and building trusted relationships.
“I love my job,” he says. “I love tequila. And I want people to be proud of the product they are drinking because there is really hard work behind it.”

The New Generation of Tequila Industry Leaders
Together, Aldo, Eva, Adrian, and Roberto are the new generation shaping the future of tequila. They represent more than titles and roles; they carry with them a deep bond to the land, pride in tradition, and a commitment to doing things the right way.
From sales and storytelling to global strategy and logistics, each plays a critical role in ensuring that Point Blank Tequila and Destiladora Agave Azul continue to set the standard for authenticity, sustainability, and excellence.
